Classic 2.0sport & Turbo, Parts compatibillity ?
Hi guy's,
I have my first scooby, a 1999 2.0 sport.
I am wanting to upgrade the suspension and front brakes !
Does anybody know if the suspension strut's off the Turbocharged cars fit on the sport without other mod's or would i need to purchase wrx hubs ect ect.
Same goes with the brakes ! but i suspect changing the rear drums for disc is quite indepth where as maybe the front brakes i could just swop the disc's & caliper's over ???
Any help would be very greatfull !
Thankyou in advance
Nick.

Double check everything and if so get pictures for comparision's, recently I bought a set of rear shocks for my 93 1.6 and on the set that I got the bracket that attaches them to the rear of the drum is about an inch longer so they don't fit even after sawing the extra bit off. Luckily I just need the top part so will strip them down and swap over the parts.
Sometimes the difference's will be slight so may not be noticable at first

Hey thanks for the info windyboy, this is exactly the reason why i asked as my experience with OEM+ modding can catch you out if your not carefull, the last thing i wana do is buy parts that dont fit my car or find out i need even more parts to get them to fit. Now toying with the idea of buying a scrap sti/wrx as a doner so i have all the bits i would ever need and probably save a few quid in the long run.
Thanks again,
All the best !

Ok, so I've changed quite a few bits on my sport.
Classic struts fit all models
Rear disk conversion - you will need to change the complete hub assembly
Anti Roll Bars - You will need the respective lower arms
2 Pot Brakes - You only need disks and callipers (4 pots I'm not too sure)
