STI upper strut brace - newage interchangeable?

Hi Guys,

Hopefully this will be a quick and easy question for someone out there!

Does anyone know if the STI upper strut brace from a blob will fit a bugeye or the one from a bugeye will fit a blob?

I sold my STI front upper strut brace to someone one here, for his blob eye. He tried fitting it and said that it doesnt quite line up, with a 13mm gap. This cant be right, can it?

Any ideas? Suggestions?
