my car used to make an odd sound with big heavy loads, but i hardly ever had any so didnt pay attention, in the last couple weeks its got worse.....

if i go over a speed hump or have people in the car it makes a noise like the tyres are hitting the arch.
a garage said yesturday they cant see any signs of any damage, shocks look fine etc, he said all he could think is that the springs are worn, so bounce more, could this be correct and whats the best non lowered spring i could fit for stiffness?
