P1 suspension compared to standard? Help pls
Could someone let me know the differences between P1 suspension (struts and springs) compared to standard (99 classic). Things like Stiffness and Ride height? Etc..
Thanks

P1 suspension consisted of specially developed springs by Prodrive made by Eibach for the P1 as well as using the standard STi V5 strut. The strut is an inverted KYB strut, monotube. Standard strut is a twin tube. It lowered about 3/4" over standard. Spring rates were 215F/195R (lbs/in).
In general the ride quality will be much stiffer compared to a standard classic setup. Its one of the best fixed perch setups to come out for the classic, though Prodrive's WR (Bilstein damper) setup was a bit better (more supple, better valving). But bang for the buck, the P1 was the shizzle back in the day.
