Default looking at overhauling the suspension, which bits need doing?

Basically, the suspension is shot and looking at overhauling the lot... I'm not going mad as use the car most days and only ever on the road.

So, going to get hold of some good condition STi shocks and some new springs, the likes of eibach etc. But abit unsure of what will need doing, at the minute ride is terrible and knocks loads, so am at the point where I assume everything needs to go... But which bits should I uprate and which bits replace?

You should consider some new bottom ball joints along with track rod ends as even if there not really worn to the point of being sloppy they will certainly be looser than they ought to be and will make a vast improvement on the steering feel.

Also consider changing the suspension bushes to powerflex or similar. Yes it is a pain to get the old ones out, but the new items slide in easily and will tighten the handling up and you will get the best out of the car. Once the wheel alignment has been done.

intrested in this too, im so far changing the struts & springs from a lower mileage scoob (which i drove first so i know ok!) & both driveshafts/cv's etc from same car.
wanting to change lower ball joints & track rod ends.
What are the bushes or any other part to look at??

I have changed the front & rear drop links to new Hardrace ones & also fitted arb superpro bushes front & back.

cheers

cant really tell to be honest, dont do many miles!
the one thing i have noticed is the front drop links are alot shorter & pull the arb down firmer & need really good washers each side to stop the rubbers popping out of the links which was annoying. dont know if that will change if i got lowering springs though?

I'd avoid the STI shocks. They are very bouncy.
