Will these fit my 2001 wrx
Hi people
Just had my 2001 bug eye wrx in for a recon gearbox in dyno demon in neston in the north west
As I went to pick it up he advised me my shocks all round are all done in and will not pass a mot hand he wants 800 for new shockers fitted
Every 1 knows they are a piece of puddle to fit so going to do it my self
Been looking at a set on ebay off a 2005 sti

Sent him a message yesterday asking if they would fit my bug but he is not 100% so thought ad pop a post up if any 1 can let me no would be spot on as he only up the road and can get them on today or tomorrow

Are the shock leaking and are you getting knocking noise's? If not they are trying it on!!
Probably fit OK but you could still get the "knock" from the rear with shocks of that age. I'd go for new shocks and some Eibach springs.

Unless they have visible signs of leaking they will generally pass an MOT.
Anyway what are they doing poking about with suspension if it's gone for gearbox work?
£800 is way over the top. You could get new coilovers fitted for that including alignment check.
