Red face

Hi all.
Just got my sti 7 back from the 1000 mile service and was told one of the rear shocks needs replacing.. it has always had a slight knock from the rear but i thought it was just the tailpipe but it appears not mine is the 2nd one they have had to replace the rear shock so if yours has a knocking noise from the tailpipe side i suggest you get it looked at or if this has been the case for anyone else please let me know
thanks

Ive got the same. Thought it was the jack. Will take it out and see if it goes away.

What kind of knock is this?

I get a kind of rattle going over one suface only (carpark ramp at work). Took out the rear seats and found the rear seat belt reels are mounted very close to the parcel shelf under-structure. If you move them with light hand force alone it will contact the shelf.

I had put my rattle down to that. Now you've got me all worried again!

I cured my knock from the rear left by tightening up the jack, and removing the tools from the spare wheel compartment.

However, I've done over 2k miles, and the left rear is slightly noisier than the others, so I'll get it checked out soon.

Had the 1000 miles service today at MONTYS (SHEFFIELD)
and took a print out of this thread!
They looked at the shockers and said there was no visable signs of leaks etc but will replace it!! So now waiting for them to phone me?
Hope this helps any of you guys?
