Right, looking at buying another set of coilovers as my current ones are seized solid.

Found some really good ones, but they will need new top mounts. So thinking about swapping my D2 pillowball topmounts onto these Cusco coilovers. Will they fit? Can they be removed and swapped over??

They look the same but just need to know how they fit onto the coilover body.

basically, can you remove the pillowball top mount and replace them? anybody? Will save me time taking mine off to have a look....

Yes you can, but the spigot diameter and thread pitch may differ between makes. If you remove your current camber plates, measure your spigot and see if its compatible with the Cusco damper.

Worse comes to worse, you can always use Cusco's camber plates!

Are these Cuscos new or used? One thing I try to take in consideration with coilovers, unless you're looking at the disposable 300 quid models, is to look at your service options. Are there any rebuild capabilites in your country? Or can you get replacement parts easily? It also depends a bit on how long you plan on using this car. Some change cars like underwear so its not really a concern if any part wears, they rarely have it long enough to get to that point. But if you have the car for several years, keep in mind that most coilovers should be serviced about every 2 years of normal road use (if you want to maintain optimum performance). Every year if you are seeing lots of hard or track usage. Or if they go, toss them and buy something new/er!

hmm yeah. Ive only ever bought second hand coilovers and never had any problems untill this set....and these are the best and most expensive ive ever had!

Coilovers are second hand on ebay, but price is going up high already so dont think ill be able to afford them Got a budget of about £400

Car is only used as a daily driver, never seen a track and doubt it ever will so dont think the service life will be too bad for them...will also be protected by plenty of spray, learnt my lesson! Only getting coilovers to get it mega low

Thinking of maybe just buying some cheap raceland ones now, brand new for £350 but ill have to fit my current top mounts to the rears as they are bugeye fitment.

As Arnie says you wont get Cusco coilovers refurbed if anything is wrong or goes wrong so might be worth bearing that in mind.
