The reason im asking this question as i have been offered a brand new set of tein coilovers that where originally bought for a newage and want to know if these will fit a gc8 classic that i want to take on the track.

I believe the rear topmounts are different is this true ?

Correct, rear tophats won't work. Fronts will sort of work. The hole orientation is different between GG/GD and GC (rotated a few deg) so it will cant the front camber plates a bit. However I can't remember what you'd actually get once you have them install. You won't be able to get as much neg camber but, if you're lucky, it might cant them so that the slot points inwards and backwards, giving you more caster and camber.

I'd personally hold off for something that fits properly. You may, however, be able to get new tophats from TEIN that may fit those struts. Not sure though. You'll have to contact TEIN about that.
