Vague steering - anyone changed bushes themselves
Hi I have a 1999 RB5,
The steering is very vague around the dead centre particularly worse turning left. Was thinking of getting a superpro complete suspension bush kit http://www.rogerclarkmotorsport.co.u...productID=2493 from RCM.
Has anyone fitted them themselves? Is it a pig to do, i'm assuming some will need pressing out with a jig jobby.
cheers

UK turbo's dont have the best steering feel anyway, even my MY00 when it was new had some "vagueness" in there when turning (felt very over assisted sometimes), so its a standard feature.
Now there is a difference between being vague and play, play means you turn the wheel and the wheels dont turn at the same time, vague is as above.

Yes, agree about not the best steering feel. This feels like play ontop of poor steering feel, where you turn from straight ahead and nothing happens until you've put a few degrees of turn in.
