Default Classic - Very light handling at high speed

On the track of course but at high speed my classic feels very unstable, its as if the steering wheel only needs a slight adjustment and id be off !

hard to explain, but at high speed even in a straight line, its as if the tyre pressures are at like 100 psi LOL.

Its a classic, has SHOWA pink struts/springs set to the softest option, 17" speedline wheels, think thats setting 1,all the steering bits have been replaced, i fitted new track rod ends, new anti-roll bar bushes, tracking been done.

puts the juhebas up me when playing with pther cars, they seem to handle so much better

hi rig
Have had the same sort of feeling especially at spa/ring last year.

But i suppose the classic shape isnt the most aero styled car more like rally tin box.
Again as all ways money talks as does trying different aero packages.. just my 2 pennies worth

craig.

it has front/rear strut braces, i was thinking maybe if an H Brace would help, dunno ?

might set the suspension to its stiffer option, see if that does anything ?

hmmm

glad its not just me going mad then LOL

get geometry done and get castor checked.. i got my geometry done and the handling went really light and high speeds, castor just needed tweakin slightly, its spot on now.

Have you had your Steering rack bushes uprated ? H-brace will help as will a 359M whiteline ALK You can even further support the H-brace from the other side of the wishbone with a 6 point Summit Racing Centre subframe brace.

Hmm,never thought of the steering rack bushes, think i might start here,as its light in a straight line at speed, whereas i thought the anitlift kit was for while accelerating/cornering ?

any links to the steering bushes ?

www.scoobyparts.co.uk sell them

They add more weight and purpose to the steering

ALK still holds the wishbone more firmly which ultimately you will feel though the steering whatever you are doing

Then further in on the wishbone the H-brace bridges the wishbones movement, locked in tight by the centre 6 point brace from the other side.
