brought a set today from apex and was advised to go for the 5/4 rate as the 6/5 can be to harsh for uk roads as a daily driver,i have teins at the moment and they are HARD,yes it does handle well on the smooth but theres no compronise, thats why i have gone with the bcs

i have the 8/6kg springs on mine and if the damping is set pretty soft i wouldnt say that they were too harse on the road at all.i would go atleast 6/5 or it it isnt worth having coilovers on at all.

im running the 5/4 springs on the apexi inverted ones.

for day to day driving i would say thay are abit hard, not overly bad. dont do any track work etc, so not sure what they would be like

I have 5/4 springs on my BCs. The ride is little different on the softest damper settings to the standard shocks. The hardest setting is really way too hard for ordinary road use, I've no track experience so cant compare them for that use.

Agreed, unless you just want suspension to lower the car. If you want performance then what bigarf said.

Thanks

His avatar suggests he has a newage though. More lard needs bigger springs...

I have a classic only used for hills and sprints and had 6/5 on to start with but found them to soft, I now have 7/6 think I would have gone to 8/6. These are the RM series.

5/4's were fine on my classic, for both road and track.
