Default £100 on offer - Bristol area !

Hello fellow Scoobies,

My 05 STi has developed the infamous strut creak and at the moment I haven't got the funds for coilovers

Being **** about rattles, squeaks etc the noise will quite soon drive me insane

Does anyone want to earn £100 to help me regrease both rear shocks

I can get the grease and spatula but I haven't got spring compressors, jack stands etc ...

Can anyone help

Just jack it up, lift the rubber socks over the shocker pistons and put some spray grease on the pistons. Simples and £100 saved. Thats what I do with my hawkeye at the minute.

PS. You can give me £50 for telling you that!

There isnt a permenant fix thats the problem, Unless you can find some chemical product to soften the wiper seal grease wont help it as a long term fix. the seal drys out and goes hard and when the shocker is compressed due to that angle it sits at it necks itself on the stem

Thanks Rob - I've done some research and as long as the shocks aren't knackered (i.e. constant knocking) the regreasing has in some cases lasted indefinitely provided you use some decent grease.

Therefore my £100 cash offer for help continues
