To be honest I have coilovers on my Spec C and I am looking to change them for OE struts with Prodrive lowering springs, my car is a weekend toy and will be doing some track days shortly.
I just find the ride too uncomfortable, they are on a fast road setting with geometry settings to suit (done at Powerstation).
My last car which was an S202 had a far better ride, handling and grip than my Spec C even with coilovers fitted.
I have found that OE struts with Prodrive lowering springs and geometry settings give the best ride, handling and comfoft.

Ive also got the BC's, they are a bit uncomfortable on the roads but you get alot for your money compared to the likes of tein. Mine are height and damper adjustable, also with the adjustable front top mounts. Taking them on track this weds so i'll report back to you then....really jealous of your car, just been looking at the pics of it!

For a trackday car, the ability to change spring rates with coilovers for about £25 a corner, add to that the ride height adjustment and dampening.
I would go coilovers for a trackday car.

The Prodrive springs are made by Eibach but have different damping rates and more anti-clatter wrapping on the coils.

are the prodrive springs better than the std jdm ones. Are they softer and hence give better traction on our potholed crap roads. My jdm easily skips on the road although that could be me being a bit heavy with my foot. Also when my rear shocks start to knock and if i do fit coilovers does it effect the insurance by much.

I hillclimb my ra and run with bc inverted rm shocks and have found them very good i have not played around with springs but the car seems to handle really well with supporting mods , they are £899 what would be good to know is if i spent 2 or 3 times more money how much faster would i be up the hill , lotonpark is just under a mile and on 1b tyres it takes 58.75 seconds . It will be very interesting to see what you guys think , may help Paulo and myself decide if we need to spend more than £900 .

i am / will be having the same issues, RCM recommend Ohlin’s but they also sell BC which they have been very impressed with. Does anyone run Ohlins the quality looks amazing but are they worth the extra cost ?

Ok so is it a case of on smooth tarmac short burst's you need good arb's , alk , lot's of caster and a good geo set up o and a bit of camber , where as for forestry or long tarmac stages with jumps etc you need more expensive dampers 55mm units with remote reservoir's to cope with the heat and three way adjustment ?

have run my 2001 JDM STI on Cusco Zero 2E coilovers for about a year and a half now.
been really impressed with them.
Subtle enough for the road, then crank them up for the track.
Tho i do run mine with a ton of other Cusco suspension aprts, so its a complete package.
They are available over here from a few suppliers.
or if your feeling super flush, they have just released the Zero 3 setups!

Co-Ord Sport are the UK importers of Cusco i beleive.
But SRB Power also do them.
I personally get all my bits imported from Japan, usually cost the same, or less, and gets to you alot quicker (if UK supplier doesnt have stock).
