Whats the difference ?
Hi
I would like to lower my car by around 30 to 35mm but I think coilovers are possibly a bit over kill for me as its an everyday car however im not adverse to it and the possiblility is still there if thats the better way to go.
I then thought maybe just put on springs and struts from the STI Version 5,6 or P1 but are my own struts actually any different on MY00 UK Turbo or could I just change the springs for a set of decent ones ?
Being female I've probably not explained myself all that well so hope you have your crystal ball handy and you can fill in the balnks but hopefully you know what I mean.
Thanks Julie

Hi Jules,
1. Your std. suspension is now ten yeras old.... (?)
2. New coilovers may be a better "fix", the BC items are very road use friendly...
3. A new std set-up may well cost much more with a set of lowering springs than you'd pay for a set of said BC's.
Bren @ ApexPerformance is your man, they run group buys on here all the time.

P.S. I changed my set-up after 47,000 miles / 7 years, and the difference was obvious.

Hiya dunx
Ok excellent thats what I needed, someone to point me in the right direction, I'll go and take a look at the group buys.. Actually logically thinking about what you said about you changing yours after 47,000 mine has just clocked up 112000 so I reckon she's due some new ones.
Thanks for that

I second dunx on that one.. my 2005 STi has clocked up a huge 40,000 and i replaced mine due to the classic knocking noise and with the BC's i have found a huge difference and its actually better comfort wise than with the standard shocks with TEIN springs.
