Default STI Quick Rack

Are they the same through out the Impreza timeline?

ie. Can a Blobeye STI rack be fitted to a Classic?

I'm after a Quick Steering Rack, be it STI or alternative but since my car is a 95, I'm finding it hard to find such things.

No - blobeye quicker rack can be adapted by reusing classic ends on it but it involves welding etc and reduces your turning circle.

The real classic quick rack e.g. as fitted to the 22B and some type Ras/Rs, is something like £1500 new from Sti, there is an intermediate speed rack, and then the standard ratio one on the ordinary models. Sti fast rack can occasionally be found from breakers but they are aware of the new cost so even secondhand they tend to be 400 ish.

Thanks for that info

I'll have a look for an aftermarket version.

If you can tell me how many turns your steering rack has from lock-lock I might have what your looking for.

I have a spare from a 1996 STI Type RA V-limited.
