Default Rear shocker driver side

Rear driver side shocker recently replaced. Was working fine up until the really cold weather it is now solid every small bump in the road feels absoloutley like hitting a brick. The car is a 2002 wrx any advice would be much appreciated

sorry mate but could you tell me how you removed the shocker, is the top located behind the seats? cheers

Remove rear seat base (2 bolts at front of seat) then remove seat back (4 bolts at bottom exposed by removing base then lift off hooks) to gain access to top mounts.

thanks d1ccy, i,ll do that just hope the old one holds up as im only replacing one, cheers!!!!
