Newage Geo Setup - Who?
probably been asked a few (million) times, but i will need a full geometry/alignment on my newage STI.
Although i want someone who will not only give a good 'fast road' setup, but be able to put all my adjustable parts to good use.
I have Cusco adjustable front top mounts, Cusco rear adjustable trailing arms, and Cusco adjustable lateral links. So car can have alot of tweeking!
So your reccomendations please!
(i am on the southcoast, Bognor Regis, but dont mind travelling for a top job)

Depends on how far your willing to travel. Chevron Motorsport in Stafford are the best for me. No standard settings, all bespoke to what you want the car to do and how. Front biased, rear biased, neutral. Race, fast road use, etc, etc.
Long way to go for you though. Would need an overnight as full setup takes a while.

If you find a local place near you why not just tell them the settings you want ? some run prodrive some whitline`s own recommended settings etc just a idea,
Most of the places use Hunter computerized gear so if you have the settings and they have the right gear why arent they as good ?

Theres only one place to go and thats CHEVRON MOTORSPORT, simon is a specialist a setting up suppension for track and rally , hes the man, im at oulton park a week on tuesday with simon , john beech and the legend jonny felstead to do some testing, lifes good to me sometimes LOL.

unfortunately i am in the dark as to waht sort of camber, toe, etc etc to be running.

If you have gone to the length and cost of getting fully adjustable suspension, then why take some off the shelf settings that are a general fast road setup? Spend extra on a specific setup for your driving style and technique.
I know people that have had their cars set up that way, and when they get them changed specifically for themselves the car is transformed.
Also, if you want it doing properly, get it corner weighted, and make sure that the setup bed they have is flat, and calibrated. Your car will not be square (unless you have bought yourself a WRC shell) so it should be done by people that know what they are doing, addressing each corner individually, not people that just dial in some basic settings.

Repaired for Time Attack last Sunday. Just broke it again on the CADS run out and meet earlier though lol. Been repaired about 5 times now. The cars too low for the road at the moment, need to raise it back up 30mm or so. Just not been done after Snett yet.

hence why i was asking for suggests for someone who could set it up, utilising the adjustable parts that i have.
i will contact Chevron that you mentioned and see what they have to say.

No its ok mate, there is no substitute for experience and trust me simon from chevron has more than enough, infact simon has more than likely forgot more than most people know when it comes to setting up suspension.

Some drivers can drive but dont have the experience yet to give good enough feedback, some drivers can drive and can also develop a car, the later will always be faster, even if you let the former think they are.

I only broke it because the car balance was so bad after Jon's feedback it spat me off the first time i drove the thing, 20 seconds worth of setup changes later i went 2 seconds faster than he'd been all day.
Jon then went quicker using my setup changes and had watched how i drove it. Thats worth 50p in fibreglass repairs i recon.

your sounding a little japenese with all these proberbs , you know what they say you can become who you sit next to so pull up a chair next to mr felstead you will soon be as quick as him john, lol.

It depends on the size of the tyre and the use you are putting it to, if you are going to use the car on the road then you are usually better off with a 17" with higher profile sidewall, purely track then it's a tossup between weight, kerb impact ability and sidewall stiffness. Bigger wheel diameter is quite often not the better choice if you can make the brakes work with a smaller wheel.
I'm hoping to be at Oulton but it depends on how work goes this week/weekend, I've got some cars to get ready to ship abroad so they have to be finished to a deadline that isn't moving.
