Question

Pete,

1. What wheels do you have?
2. What tyres are you currently running?
3. What are your rear camber settings?

Thanks David:-

1. Round Silver ones!! Standard UK spec for MY00?

2. Errrrrm Standard UK spec for MY00

3. Not a clue but probably Standard UK spec for MY00

I should have thought, that as a farmers vehicle, it would be made to tow easily????? The P1 isnt allowed to tow - is that because it, too, would bottom out??

OK,

Step 1, get your alignment checked. It may be that your rear camber is close to positive, which could cause a rear wheel to hit the lip. If this is the case some rear camber bolts may be needed to change the setting as ex factory they are non adjustable. Hitting a kerb, pothole etc. could mess up your camber.

Step 2. If this doesn't solve it, roll your the lip on the rear guard. Many wheel places offer this as a service, or you can do as I did and do it yourself.

Take a look at http://integra.vtec.net/wheels/rollfender.html

I used the handle of a hammer. Worked very well.
I don't tow anything, my car is low and I run 215/45/17s on Compomotive ET50s that's why I needed to do mine

Hope this helps,

David

Pete,

You serious, you have no springs on the rear ?

That would explain a lot.

Cheers

Question

When towing, well below the max noseweight, the rear arch's rub on the tyres .......................... cant see any springs for assisters? what can I do? Its a pain in the 4rse!! Dont want to replace the shockers either ... it should tow a camping trailer without bottoming-out surely to god?

Pete

Edited to say:- UK - STD - WAGON - MY00 - TURBO
