Rusty shocks and springs - what to do?
My car has Ohlins shocks and Eibach springs and they've been on the car since about 2003.
The Ohlins look rather rusty which is a shock considering the price!
Should I worry and what can I do? Paint them maybe?

surely that would be a massive step backwards ? to go from ohlins units to std. subaru shocks ?
I am interested in this too as i have a set of ohlins that came on my 95 ra which i would like to refurb if its not mega bucks ? can ohlins rebuild them ? will they refurb them on the outside too ?

Did you say in the other thread that your ohlins were knocking. I'm not sure if mine are actually. I've noticed some off knocks from the rear now and again but not 100% sure.
I've got the original receipt and they were stupid money in 2003. You would think they would last a bit longer than 6 years.
