Tein Superstreets with EDFC would be my suggestion.
EXE-TC are excellent too apparently!
You really need to have a ride in a car equipped with them over the kind of roads you spend most time on to be sure, to be honest. Suspension is a very subjective thing!

No I've just done that and they are too stiff imho !
Mine's a toy and it doesn't like B roads any more....
KW3's were on a Skoda I was lucky enough to be passengered on track in, hugely supple and superb body control.

P.S, Exe-tc if the price doesn't scare you, it did me !

Dunx,
What springs rates you got mate. Mine are 4/3 are it rides better than std, over all but large potholes. I found its better to have the rear ride height higher than Tein suggest though.

I did have to drive 200 miles to get there, so maybe that made a difference.
Whats with the three day week?
Are they on a wind down with the credit crunch or summit?

AST/Powerstation
Have not been to there workshop for some time now, but have always found Curtis very helpful, have been using AST`s for more than 4 years now, with out any complaints, but saying that with the new car build we have decided to go with exe-tc, as the car will be track based only, but like any thing in this world, you only get what you pay for, good luck with your situation, I am sure it will get resolved in your favour.

S.P.Developments,
Is the "only get what you pay for" aimed at the AST's?
If it is, that may be a bit strange as I know personally of a guy who run's a 205 rally car within various 205 championships. His name is Andy Baker and is well known in those circles, winning the 205 Challenge in 2004,2005,2006,2007 and achieving overall winner of the 2008 Heart of England. He tried AST's after using pro-flex and says they are no better nor worse. Considering the price difference, i.e. the AST's being a lot cheaper, you perhaps get more than what you pay for in this case. He is not the only person I know that swears by AST's for use within high level motorsport.
P1Doc,
Are you 100% sure PowerStation are on a 3day week. I understood that PowerStation was open every day (including Saturday). Hope you get it sorted.

Mines as the book suggests, but compared to std. STI suspension it's too stiff and B-roads aren't as much fun.
IMHO

P.S. Will try raising it !

I have AST coilovers on mine (8 month old 4k miles) and one of the rears is knocking
I haven’t taken it off yet (can’t feel a thing with it on jacked up) to check the top mount but they were replaced at the same time as the struts.
What were the symptoms of yours failing? And what guarantee do they have?
I emailed Powerstation about it last Friday and didn’t get a reply
I am not in the UK until July so it will probably have to stay on until then if they can’t turn them around in 2 days and would do it while I wait.

rbaz,
Give the inserts a spray with silicon. If the knock is from dryness, this can sort it out. It happens with mine and this instantly fixes it. Just a thought.

Curtis took about 1.5 weeks to refurb my rears, happy with that turnaround.
Just took the fronts off today and will be sending them to him on Monday, so hope he can turn them around fairly quick.
Have noticed that the powder coating does'nt last on the AST springs, I broke a front spring just over a year ago, so replaced both front springs.
My front springs have very little powder coating left on them, it has all flaked off.
Is this common for springs?

Have KW Variant 3's fitted to my R32 and find them to be very good but were a bit fiddly to set-up. Had Bilstein PSS9's on the WRX and they were excellent and also have some Ohlins fitted to my Super7 and they are fantastic. I don't think you would be unhappy with any of the above makes.

Powerstation
Off topic I know but i went to Powerstation last year to have the a big brake kit fitted, informed it would take 4 hours max including an alignment.
After waiting round until the mechanic went home, they airgunned the wheel on and fouled the new shiny caliper agggggggghhh.
When I spoke to Rich, he said the only thing I needed was 18 inch rims which the website still states.
He said to get round the problem they would just fit some spacers of which I wouldn't be concerned about usually. It was 10mm resulting in the nuts not fully winding down on the studs.
After walking round all day outside and trying to catch a train to anywhere, we stumbled upon the showroom and waiting room. AAAAAggggggghhhh! Something they did not mention at all!
They then gave me a hire car, a knackered Mondeo with a sticking brake caliper and had to return a week later to pick up my car.
Thats' my findings of them !!!!
Take it how you will....
