I had a WRX and fitted Tein S Tech springs which drop it around 30mm which is ideal imo.
Also 24mm Whiteline rear ARB and 22mm fron ARB and wire droplinks will make a good improvement.
Lastly you need to have the alignment done which most consider to be the best value for money suspension mod.
I would have it all done in one go so you will really notice the improvement.
I got my ARB's from Demontweeks as they give a Scoobynet discount.

On a 7 year old car with I'm guessing average miles? I would ditch the std shocks and get coilovers. I was surpised how bad my suspension was after 6 years and 35k miles, of course I didnt know until I changed them out!

Just had some new suspension fitted to my STI7, consisting of Tein springs and KYB ultra SR struts. The car had original KYB sti struts and prodrive springs and had done 75k so was crashing a tad, was looking to go down the coilover route but did't want anything too harsh or mega bucks either tbh. The struts and springs cost £560 all in and £10 p+p from camskill in cumbria, got them within 2 days of ordering and cost me £80 to have fitted, just need to get the geo set up next week now. THe suspension now is just fantastic, practically no roll and not harsh at all on the rough roads round my way, and the teins bring the wheels nicely into the arches but not too low, 35mm front & 25mm rear.

The one part that will make a big difference on a bug (got a Bug STI myself) is fiting uprated bushes. I fitted power flex bushes all round and that tightened things up nicely. Due to the OE bushes having deterioated and having some give in them. I also run Tein Flex with EDFC and a batch of whiteline goodies. Complimented by a good alignment setup should be sweet.
