Is Newage STI Suspension lower than WRX ?
As the title,
Is STI Suspension lower than WRX on Newage Models (eg, Blobeyes?)
And would the entire suspension setup need to be changed or just the springs to fit STI suspension on a WRX?
Cheers, M.

STi, well mine defo, has upside down shocks, so would say, Yes, you'd have to change whole lot. Don't know about it being lower tho. Having TEINS fited tomoz, so it should be lower then

The springs and dampers are a matched set, ideally fit as such, but some like to lower the car for "the look".... that's up to you, mine are heading onto a classic wagon as I type.

STi and WRX are the same ride height, you can mix and match the parts (same MY, don't forget the rear tophat and top of spring change at 04MY, although you still can mix it up if you know what your doing).
WRX shocks are very 'soft' and will struggle to control STi (or STi rate) springs, however STi shocks and WRX rate springs seems to work OK.

Thanks for the replies guys,
What is it that defines the ride height? Is it the length of the Spring or length of the Shock? Or both?
My Scooby is a PPP WRX MY05, would I be better off with an STi suspension setup due to the car having the same power as a stock STi ? As someone has said above, WRX shocks are very soft.
Cheers, M.

If you want to lower a car on stock suspension, then the best method seems to be to fit aftermarket springs like Prodrive, Eibach or Whiteline which lower the car by about 20mm.
On coilovers you often have the ability to adjust the spring platform height and therefore the ride height.
Your springs and dampers should be matched, so don't just randomly mix parts.
No expert, but fitting STi suspension should definitely be an improvement over the WRX suspension, as the I believe the dampers are much better.
