Loosening spring seat adjuster
Hi guys,
i've never had to adjust coilovers before so which way should i be turning the1 spring seat and 2 locker see pic.
It's it just wont budge and ive cleaned them up and sprayed loads of wd40 on them

adjust no.2 first - looking at the photo, turn the spanner from the side with 1 noted towards the side with 2 noted...this will loosen teh nut you can then adjust the No.1 nut whichever way you want to adjust preload
the angle of the thread shows which way they go ...its a standard RH thread

Both of the lock rings should turn anti-clockwise.
It confused me at first but basically when you tighten them up they press together, but they both unthread in the same direction. You will have apply opposite (clockwise) pressure to the top lock ring to break the corrosion though.

i tried adjusting mine, c spanner out, i dont have a problem adjusting them, but they r so stiff, the locking ring is slowly slowly to move it down, nightmare, major cleaning is needed to the threads to help ease the problem, so i quit tonight, lol, gonna jet them, wire brush and oil them before i attempt next time. then cover threads with something to keep muck off.
