Default Anti Roll Bar Advice Please!

looking at the final few peices to finish my chassis setup.

Looking at running Cusco anti roll bars.

There are two choices for the front.

one that is 113% stiffer than standard and one that is 138% stiffer.

Now the rear is adjustable with the following increases: 135%, 158% and 173%.

So basically which would be the better front bar to have?

I am thinking the 138% stiffer, as i would assume this would make the car run better on track?

And what should i run the back at in relation to which front bar i run?

many thanks to any replies!

I would suggest fitting the rear, seeing what characteristics you have and whether you want the front any stiffer or not myself!

My experience is :-

Rear bar reduces understeer/allows easy oversteer.

Front bar reduces oversteer by increasing the overall grip.

138% front is my choice, and adjustable rear is great for fine tuning your set-up.

All imho

i fitted a 24mm rear bar to mine and as dunx said it cuts out understeer but makes it easy to oversteer when it's on the stiffest setting. i've just changed the suspension to sti stuff off a v8 but i can't decide if i need to change the front as i seem to have got a bit of understeer back. what do you think dunx

I would !

More grip at the front unless it's REALLY slippy then it can just "give up" as it's a tad too stiff..

If you don't find it too harsh already, YES !

HTH

interesting.

So do you lot replace the drop link when you do the arbs too? its another 100 quid which i cant imagine makes a massive difference other than perhaps sharpening the bushes?

Currently have pretty catastrophic understeer in the greasy wet. 24mm rear arb for 115 on its own make a significant difference then?

And droplinks don't have to be that much - steel ones are a lot less and work just as well, and buying second hand alloy ones is possible.

Steel ones are under £50 new.
