2004 STi struts and early springs!
I have a set of 2004 STi struts with the later top mounts and a set of 2001/2 springs I want to use, I have read the early top mounts won't fit but not why, anyone tried this at all?

When I sold my 2004 STI standard stuff to a 2001 WRX owner I did not have top mounts to give him as these were retained for the AST Coilover replacements.
There was a peculiarity around the rear top mounts and a quick call to Curtis at Powerstation confirmed it.
I suggest giving him a call.
I think he just had to sue the WRX rears, or some such.
