Default Prodrive springs for bugeye WRX

I know the part number for these is SACC2544, but does anyone know the codes marked on the springs themselves? They are blue in colour.

FRONT 42/03

44S/D5/001

REAR 40/03

44S/D5/001

Are these for a bugeye or blobeye? I have found reference to them on US sites, but they say they are for 02-03 cars, not 01-02 (bug) or 03-05 (blob).

They are the right springs for 01/02MY cars. The confusion with the US cars comes from the fact that they called what we had as 01MY a 2002 model as they took some extra 2000MY cars and called them 2001......

44S/D5/001 is our internal part number, 42/03 etc are the production dates.

Ewan, not doubting my integrity here are you? (leg pull mate, it is Christmas) as Mike has said deffo the right ones for your car as they won't fit a later strut/top mount combo.

US MY's are always a year ahead of the rest of the world, and they usually start selling the next MY in August! That is 2009's have now been on sale for 6 months, that's not just Subaru but all US models.

Not doubting you at all Simon - but if you notice the post date it's a few weeks before I bought yours This was posted about some on ebay.

Mike, thanks for the response, got to the bottom of it after a bit more searching.
