weird feeling on the sti rear end - any ideas

weird feeling on the sti rear end - any ideas
Just wondered if anyone has experienced this:
Put the car in to a right hander under power and the back end feels fine until suddenly it feels as if it slips just a bit, then its fine, kind of makes you want to countersteer as if you are about to lose it but once it has moved a bit then it is ok no matter how much harder it is pushed.
Car has no sti knocking but has one new shock and one old one. Weirdly enough, the new shock feels softer when bouncing than the other side. I did wonder whether the rear end is twisting a bit under load.
Checked underneath and all the bushes look fine. Everything else looks ok.
Are Sti shocks adjustable?
