If you are not looking to spend a lot, then the Apex Coilovers seem to be good value for money ... see here

If you can afford more, then AST or exe-tc are very well regarded.

What do you expect to gain from them?

You cant go far wrong with the std P1 setup if 99% of your time is road based IMHO.

2nd that. If your P1 shock/spings are shot, then yes, worth looking at the upgrade. If not, stick with em.

Upgrading to coilovers can be a great mod for the road, but you have to do your homework and be prepared to spend. Cheaper ones tend to use springs far too stiff for the UK roads. I have 4/3kgfmm on my classic and would not go harder than that for road use!

I can recommend the Tein Superstreet kit, with EDFC which makes adjusting damping force a breeze!
