Default to geo or not to geo???

That is the question?

I have bought to Prodrive springs for my STI to replace the standard ones. I have been told by someone that i will need to have the geometry done after they are fitted. Is that the case or will i not. I dont use the car on a track. Many thanks

Jim

yes geometry needs to be done. all cars should be set up properly as soon as possible as no car ever comes out of the factory on correct settings.

you'll notice a big difference if you've not had it done before, no matter where you drive the car just get it done by a track set up specialist as they adjust more accurately than dealers (and probably for a cheaper price!)

you'll be well impressed with the Prodrive kit by the way, i've found it a big improvement over std. better ride and look, wish i'd done it ages ago!

Thanks for the reply Hoskib. Had a look at your car. It sits nicely on the Prodrive springs. I wish mine was white .

i never did mate all i done was turn the front camber bolts in and used it for 2years like this no uneven tyre wear ,i have just fitted some apex coilovers and thought i will have it set up this time at power station ,when they put the lasers on they said it was pretty much bang and only had to adjust the tracking only cos i took the track rod ends off to grease the thread and this was only a few degrees.

Mine is grey with anthracite wheels. It was my second choice after white, but couldnt find one at the time.

not surprised, they're rare as rocking horse crap, i had a big slice of luck finding mine!

i like that colour combo. wasn't too keen on the silvers when i first saw them, but with the wet look waxes out there now i think they look great. very clean and sharp looking
