Default UK v STI suspension

Would it be worth swapping my standard UK suspension for STI suspension?
Would it improve handling and would it be lower at all?
Thanks

car = RB5

Yes i think the drop is 10mm/15mm and the ride is stiffer.

Shocks and springs are quite a bit stiffer, although do you really wnat to be fitting 10yo second hand shocks? If you don't know the history I would get some decent new shocks, by all means use second hand springs, either STi or other 'lowered and stiffened', but don't drop the car by more than 15-20mm as its wrecks the geometry!
