Question Is There Any Benifit of Fitting Callsic STi Alloy Wishbones On A WRX?

Hi all,

I'm in the process of upgrading my suspension, and while I was under the car, I was wondering if there would be any benifit of fitting the alloy wishbones onto my WRX Replacing the standard steel versions?

I guess they would be a friction lighter, but is they any other benifits?

Not really unless they really need replacing. They do look nice though.

I have steel on my 95 STI Wagon because the wagons weren't given them. Look at Trails' snet thread, they do save weight but not £100 worth which is the going rate for a pair

As I understand it you would also need to replace the drop links to make them compatible ?

Yeah thats what I thought, and at the moment I'm just about ready to buy some new whiteline front and rear drop links so I though I best decide now, for fear of paying twice for the drop links.

save your cash bud ,you wont see any benifit for the outlay .steel ones will do the job and the klc 30 alloy d/links last longer that the rose joint type spend the money on the roll centre adjust kit ,you will see a difference for the cost kca 313 geo

didnt i read in trails thread he saved about 4kg, i'd have thought for the sake of £100, it would be worth it, just for the reduction in unsprung weight therefore helping everything tie together better
