Default 25mm Rear ARB

Is it too thick for everday use?
I won one on ebay, but only really read the description after .

Quote regarding the 25mm
For street enthusiasts that simply want to attack the drive to work with more gusto, the 22mm (7/8”) upgrade is the ideal choice. While dedicated track hounds will delight in the increased snap now available from our 25mm (1”) offering. Each size and each end also incorporates 2 adjustment holes to help you custom tailor your suspension to your specific needs and driving habits. Made from solid steel and heavily powder coated to prevent the rigors of salty roads that wreck havoc with less worthy products. All kits include polyurethane pocketed bushings to prevent tedious re-greasing

Try both settings, and don't forget ARB is a dumb lever, you can have one side soft and the other hard for an inbetween setting.

Can only comment on Classic. These would be too thick........ especially if just the rear. would make it snap happy at the rear on bends - very, very dangerous near the limit and not advised

Yep its for a classic.
Doesn't sound like good news, I'll give it a try though, I don't really go mad at all when I drive. If it feels dangerous, I'll have to take it off.

Will be fine with a 22 up front. I am running 24 rear (mid) and 22 front (soft) on a classic and its great

good - you have to do both otherwise the setup and handling characteristics will be flawed............
Bit like just putting uprated Coliovers on the rear - who would do that - same thing!

I heard it was the back end that was the problem, and if you uprate the front as much as the rear, you are back to square one.

Hence the reason to put a 25mm on the rear and a 22mm on the front

But some people only go with a 22mm on the rear, which AFAIK is standard size.

OEM size is 19mm but a 22mm rear will be some 200% Stiffer than the OEM ARB

I, and many others, do the rear bar and leave the front alone. The front end doesn't need any more encouragement to plough on into understeer. An adjustable 22mm on the hardest setting at the rear, alloy drop links both ends, anti-lift kit up front makes for a superb drive.

Agree if it were not for the 25mm rear thats going to be great in the dry but not so clever in the wet !

So I just need a 22mm rear instead of my 25mm, and it'll be OK on its own?
If so, I might try to swap it or something.

I ran a 22mm rear arb with alloy drop links on my 53WRX and it was great.

On the classic I am running the 24 rear 22 front Drop links all round, ALK and subframe lockdown bolts.

Fantastic !

Now I have tried it I wouldn't not do the front again. and the stiffer rear bar is better.
