Default stiv strut brace question......

hey all, i have a my99 sti5 with the carbon sti strut brace, and it has been catching in the intercooler, now my mate has just bought a p1 and while looking at his engine noticed that my brace had been put on upside down! (still round back of intercooler but the sti sticker was underneath)
could there be any reason for this? changed it back around but you know what its like when you change something, always feels different.

is it just me being paranoid or was there a reason for it?

cheers, shawn.

I've got the carbon STI strut brace fitted to my 96 classic wagon and it handles liek a train on rails, although it is lowered on eibach springs to. I wasn't aware it could be fitted upside down as the rings that lock on the struts are cut out on the drivers side to line up with the top of the strut (theres a metal bit poking out), unless they just fitted the bar upside down. Probably either just put together wrong at the factory if it was brand new or whoever you bought it from did it for some unusual reason
