Hawkeye suspension knocking
ok so I'll start by saying I'm a technical type guy so go easy,
I lowered my Hawkey wagon on Eibachs about 2 months after new (06). months later the nocking from the front end when on rough ground started. When the car was in for it's 1st year service I was told the drop links were goosed and replaced under warranty.
6 months passed until the noise started again. so It would look like they have gone again. Is this a known soft part ? and if so it there a more hard wearing part that I can replace the OEM part with ?

Never heard of the drop links being a problem but I recall some comment about Eibach springs where under compression, one coil will touch another, causing noise. Thin rubber sleeves around the offending coils cures the noise.

PS Replacement drop links are available from the likes of Whiteline, Noltec etc. Troll the usual Subaru specialist sites.
