Lowering Springs
Hi all I have just got myself a 1999 2.0 Sport, It is so high at the front it looks silly the back looks ok, I have got 17" wheels with low profile tyres which doesnt help.
I am after some cheap lowering springs the lower the better 50mm ideally I am on a bit of a budget so they have to be cheap, second hand would be even better.
I have attached a picture so you can see what I mean, any info or advice would be real good.
Many thanks all.
Matt.

H&R -50mm springs is your answer. They are about £170 from motorsport world
I have them on my sport along with KYB AGX struts. Please view my scooby link under my username.
Look on ImprezaSport.net as there is a right hight thread with members running different set-ups.
Look I have even found the thread for you

I've gone for Eibach springs and the KYB AGX shocks. I recall someone (a company) is selling the springs new on ebay for about £140 - £150. They are a very common spring for Impreza turbos so should so you fine. I don't think they drop as far as the H&R's, 25-30mm if I recall correctly. Its lower, and flat, but not so low that you have to think twice about every speed hump you encounter.

If you look on the ISN ride height thread, you will see that the eibach lower the car only a small amount - the front drops a little, but the rears hardly do aka '*** in the air'. something to think about.
I don't have to think twice about speed bumps with my set-up. Its loverly and firm.
What you might be looking for is the Whiteline flatout -40mm lowering springs.

Cheers all that is a lot of useful information to get me thinking about.
I think maybe with 17" I will go for 40mm drop and some fairly thick walled tyres.
Many thanks
