Front Strut Assembly
In the process of stripping down my old suspension i've uncovered another botched job carried out by my local garage. Looks like they forgot a spacer/bearing/washer type thing that, I think, should sit between the top-mount and upper spring-seat.
Luckily for me they managed to get all the bits back on the LH strut,- but judging by the rest of their work I'm not 100% convinced that it's located correctly, so if anyone can confirm where this spacer/bearing thing is located in the strut assembly, I'd really appreciate it.
Its approx. 40mm OD, with a 14.5mm ID if that helps anyone...
Cheers

no takers?
turns out the spacer was part of the original oe assy which is supposed to be discarded when the unit was replaced with the KYB strut.
The "mechanic" who fitted the RH strut simply ignored/forgot the instructions and fitted the spacer, - thus causing the subsequent knocking, clunking and banging i was getting for the last 6mths.
moral of the story, - wanna job done right, then do it yourself!
