Default Tein Suspension

In the process of buying the super street kit and whiteline anti-roll bar kit for a new age impreza,

firstly, what do you all think of this kit?

secondly, i have the option to get the Pillowball uppermounts for it, are these essential, and what do they actually do?

thirdly, is it easy to fit?

cheers guys (and gals)

I just fitted the basic tein kit to my MY01 bugye along with a 22mm ARB, solid drop links and a front H brace.

Fanastic, not to hard and give a good drop. I wouldnt spend the extra on the bigger it unless your doing trackdays etc.

S!

I've just fitted Tein SS with top mounts to my classic, haven't set them up properly yet.

Think if you ever want to fit EDFC then you need to buy the kit with uppermounts.

What you asked is very identical to my current suspension setup on my 05 wrx.

The Tein SuperStreet SS-P with Cusco 22mm F&R Anti-roll bars have completely removed the understeer the car had. It is now happy to turn at almost any speeds you like. make sure you have the rear anti-roll bar set at its softest setting or the LSD will come into play too early thus reducing the control at the limit.

Don't get the pillow ball upper mount unless you really need to have the extra camber angle. (It is eating the inside of my tires rather quickly at negative -2.0)

Pros
1. Fantastic handling
2. Ridiculous cornering limits
3. Much more grip and sensation (feelings)
4. Track ready (step up the hardness)
5. Very stable and steerable in corners (can switch lines with confidence)

Cons
1. slight spring noises it makes over bumps.
2. Must be set to nearly the soft side to be on the comfy

Get it and you will not regret it.
