Morning all
What's the manhours (for this read price) to replace the rear shocks on a newage STI?
I fear i heard the 'knock' last night!!

Knock or just the spring bouncing back into it's seat?

If you had just driven slowly over an abrupt surface, ie speed bump, the rear end sometime goes back with a clunk.

Anyway, to change 2 rear dampers, about 2 hours inc the re-alignment in a professional environment, hour longer in your garage with a Halford's 5 Spanner ability/tools.

@ £40/hour London rates (?)about £200 + vat + parts.

you can do this your self in less than two hours as long as you can use a spanner, i.e have not been in a terrible accident and lost all your fingers.

you dont even need spring compressors for the rear.

You may be right it doesnt seem to be doing it today!!

I had it in my last scooby -thats why i feared the worst- that however had a warranty!
