Ive got a Whiteline front strutbrace fitted (correctly i think) to the front of my MY00. It bends towards the front of the engine bay infront of the TMIC.

This is fowling slightly on my bonnet (really annoying!) so i thought i would check that its on correctly.

Well.....ive just seen pictures of the same strut brace the other way round!

Which way is correct?

It looks like the same item, but when i tried to put it on that way round it wouldnt fit!

 

Not too sure but I've read they do different types to get around different Intercoolers?

 

Hmm ok their websites not much use. Anyone got any more photos of them installed? Ive had a search and cant find much

 

I haven't got a whiteline one but mine is on the same way as the one in this pic



Its a bit af a mare to get on, you need to bolt the brackets to the top mounts first then 'persuade' the bar in carefully.

 

its wrong way round, it bends round the back of the intercooler, close to the bulk head.

Hmm i thought so to, but theres some (very bad pics) of them the otherway on the Whiteline site.

Think ill give it a go this weekend and swap it round!

 

I think Whiteline do two versions - one that goes in front and one behind. IIRC the one that goes in front is for the slanty TMIC, but don't quote me on that.

 

Well i took mine off, checking it out again to make sure i wasnt having a blonde moment. Its definitely not the wrong way round!
