I am having my car set up at the weekend.. and just wondering if it is worth changing to prodrive settings, bearing in mind that the car is a 5dr Uk turbo, with standard suspension...

The geometry isnt set using any of the suspension is it? I can just have it done and then change the suspension afterwards?

Oh yeah... if I should get the prodrive settings done then what are they? (have searched but not found much... + dont want to put the wrong settings on!)

Hi David

If you set your geometry and then remove and change the suspension... you will need to reset the geometry. toomany variables will have been moved

If you need the settings for the prodrive setup, they can be found on this website

http://www.geocities.com/subman2001nz/

Click on the alignment specs section, 8 different companies settings are listed, including prodrive.

Where about are you based?

What suspension kits do you sell...

I am was thinking of eibach's (however they are spelt!) And uprated shocks... but nothing over the top price wise..

What do you recomend??

Hi David

Where abouts are you getting the geometry done?

I need to get mine sorted very soon, and I am around the Leeds area.

Cheers

I got it done at troys on harehills lane... however they dont do it... someone basically rents their ramps...

Cost me £50 quid... but didnt think much to the two blokes that did it... nearly ended up punching one of them... so I would look around... Let me know if you find anywhere.

I'm in Leeds and have decided to go down to TSL and get it done on the 27th.
Bit of a treck, but it should be done right.

Thumbs up

Trouser is going to love this but I would recommend TSL for the checks and set-up.

You even get a print out to show how much your car was out and how much better it is now. Altough they are on acurate to 0.1 of a mm!!

Also friendly guys and quite happy to explain in simple words (I appreciated it) what exactly they were doing. Also not shy in telling you if there is something wrong with the car...
