Suspension improvements for 00 Classic turbo
I'm planning suspension improvements for my otherwise standard model year 2000 turbo.
Eibach Springs and new droplinks seem to be standard advice, but what shock absorbers should I use? I want the car for road use not track days, so the ride must still be good, but with control.
Other strings mention KYB dampers. Some describe them as adjustable, some say they are gas filled. IF KYB are good, what model should I be going for? Or is there something more suitable out there?

P1 suspension (aprrox £500 fitted second hand at Welcome to the API website )
Whiteline rear anti roll bar @ 22mm size and solid links
Solid front links
ALKit and camber bolts
Suspension alignment by a GOOD specialist (ie Powerstation)
Good tyres.

The springs are not included in the buy but there is a link to a site that sales them cheaper than any other I've found.
For the shocks just add your name to the list and call Nathan, details on the front page, tell him your part of the GB and order. We have the required numbers now so he'll dispatch then as soon as he can pack them.
The springs are on the ESP Design website and you just order online.

I have a similar setup to 911 on my MY00 except the dampers are standard UK and the springs are Eibach Prokit.
The rest of the setup is the same - tried a front ARB but took it off as wet roads brought on way too much understeer. With sticky tyres and a dry race track though was awesome, but we're talking road setup here.
Be interested to see what others say here as the time has come to replace by dampers (left rear has started knocking) and have been thinking either the same, P1 or some road biased, just like fred flintstone, coil overs.
KW's (went in an Octavia RS with them on once and was WELL impressed) and AST's (as used in the Litchfield Type25) come to mind...

Ive got a MY00, I've just bought KYB AGX's with Eibach Pro Kit springs. The KYB's were £280 delivered by UPS of eBay, and no import tax was paid.
I will be fitting them this weekend or next. Ive already got 22mm adj rear ARB, rear droplinks and front Anti Lift Kit.
The KYB's look very easy to adjust once on the car, dials on the rear, small dials on the front that you can change under the bonnet, looks a great piece of kit.

Got Eibachs and KYB AGXs myself, but think about upgrading the the TEIN in-car adjustable ones. That way you can have them nice and soft for driving about town (the roads around me are in awful condition!) and firm them up at the click of a button.
