maybe someone can help? the strut tops on my 93 wrx are marked and colour coded 1 2 3 4 im not sure what this means and if there is any form of adjustment available as the ride is sooo harsh.perhaps someone out there can help?

Could be adjustable dampers. Is there not a **** on the top of the struts that you can turn? Or maybe a small nut at the top of the strut at the top of the main shaft(about the main strut nut)? I think the Japanese aftermarket suspensions can be very hard.

Sounds like you've got KYB adjustable dampers. I had them on my MY96 WRX when I got it, but I've now changed to AVO coilovers.

The KYB fronts are top adjustable, just use a small screwdriver to turn the adjuster (I used position 1). The rears should also be adjustable (4 different settings) via a **** at the bottom of the strut. You should be able to reach it without having to remove the wheels. Hope this helps.

thanks for the help steve it seems you are 100% correct in your diagnosis and that they are kyb adjustable dampers!! now i just have to find out how too set it up
