had eibach springs fitted. both fronts knocking. has anyone else experienced this? by the way 04 wrx euro import if that makes a difference

 

apparently spring tape may cure it.

eibach recomended tape. but did not remedy the problem, put the standard springs back on for now. just looking for a solution. somebody help?

 

I have an 03 WRX and mine knocked like buggery till they settled after a few days, getter quieter with time for ages after that.
Eibachs can be notorious for knocking, and there is ultimately nothing you can do about it to cure it, quieten it yes, but not cure it.
Mine are now only very slightly noisy at times, but generally superb but they are like a year or two old now. But i can definitely remember driving away after they were fitted thinking, how loud it was and i was going back to moan about it. In around 4 days mine had settled a lot.

 

I put a rubber sleeve over the bottom couple of coils but that was for a squeak rather than a knock, cured it though.

 

My rears have just started to do it over speed bumps, really annoying. Might try the tape trick see if it helps.
