Default My car Creaks like an OLD MAN

yes these Perrin Spherical endlinks we installed are NOISY. Pop Pop Crack Snap. They pop on driveways and in tight turns and SNAP loudly upon brake initiation. I have tried every space age lube, cherry flavored KY, butter, and hemoroid grease, tighten' them down to SPEC and nothing helps. Drives me batty. Believe it or not I'm installing the stock ones until I can get my hands on a nice set of quiet BUSHING style of links.

Fit some poly bushes like the rest of us!
Tight, smooth and quiet, and no exotic lubricants...

LOL. exotic..hehehe. I've given up and regret being talked into the decision to get the spherical ones. Every one that rides in my car laughs and comments that something sounds broken. In one hour I take them off and they are for sale on NASIOC. Plenty of persons on that site that could care less about the noise. Graham do you have a favored brand of bushing style links'?

Yep: Whiteline or a UK company Powerflex.
I have some from both on my 'rubber-free' chassis and both are the same shore hardness but Whiteline are yellow and Powerflex are purple.
If you are going to do this job, REALLY do it and get ALL the rubber out, especially the rear diff carrier! Makes a fantastic difference.

rubber free sounds like a strictly race set-up does it not? I have to drive my car on the worst roads daily so it has to have some rubber. I put the Perrin endlinks I WAS complaining about up for sale and the stock ones back on the car. Just until I can find suitable replacements. The Creaky Old Man is gone now...no noise...shhhhh. Heavenly and now I'm not afraid to brake or turn the car sharply. No more 'exotic lube'...that's for in house only.lol
