Default 22mm or 24mm whiteline adj ARB?

Going to be getting an ARB for my 93WRX tmoz but dont know which one to get!? The guy from DemonTweeks sugested the 22mm would be more than enough for Fast road use but I want the best thats not over the top.

Eventually I would like some decent coilovers so i want the right bar to work with these, can anyone suggest which one i get?

cheers, Gaz

Depends if your thinking of getting a front arb upgrade as well.

yea I will get a front one too, and ALK and then eventually springs and shocks.

Guy from DemonTweeks said the 24mm would be too aggressive for road use and the 22mm would be fine but im thinking of the future and woundered what would suit best.

thanks for the quick reply.

IMHO:

Fit 22mm bars front and rear, set the rear to middle position and if the front is adjustable, to the softest setting.

Try that first.

BUT:

You should think of the package too:

Bars
ALK
Camber bolts
Good alignment by the right people

All at the same time.
These parts are useable for when (not if) you go much further (and you sure can!)

22mm adjustables all around.

Front @ soft - Rear @ midle
or you could try
Front @ hard - Rear @ hard if you want the car "stiffer"

24mm bars will be too much IMHO for road use.

i have this exact set up, (exculding the camber bolts).
Fitting the rear bar alone made a huge differene.
Geometry set to Whiteline 'sport' settings.

I have tein coilovers and find 22mm arbs are stiff enough all round.

Everyone is different - but i doubt the car would be any faster on the road with a 24mm - in all conditions. But ride will suffer.

Well I've bought the 22mm adjustable ARB for the front and rear along witht he solid drop links.

so far only fitted the rear bar and links and its pretty amazing, I was a weary at first because it was raining bad and i wasnt sure what it was gonna handle like but i pushed it a few times and it goes were you point it with out a hint of understeer.

Problem is I thought I was going fairly fast around corners that before I would have felt the front end going so would have been on the limit but now I cant feel that and I aint sure how much I can push it before the backend kicks out and how violent its likely to kick out. any one been that far got any tips?

btw thanks all who replied

This is my car on a track.
22mm all round with AST coil-overs and a lot more, but note the lack of roll and understeer.
Should say the track was drying.
DropShots Day

Front has no adjustment, but rear on middle hole.

I think (not sure mind) that the Sti bars are slightly larger than the WRX and the RA's are thicker than the Sti.
I could be very wrong though.

On my V6 TypeR the stock bars where 20mm @ front and 19mm @ back.
Don't know how this compares with a non STi/UK car but I'm sure somebody must know...

Thanks for the replies guys.
The other problem I have trying to get info on this is that although it's an STi, it doesn't have alloy wishbones which I've been informed was the case on some STi wagons !
I want to fit a new 22mm adjustable to the rear but I'm not sure if I need to also do the front at the same time.

Thanks Graham.
This is the set up that I was thinking of fitting. I wanted to check if my front ARB was already uprated before I spent out on a new one.

on my MY99 turbo,I fitted 20mm arb at rear, drop links & bushes front & rear plus steering bushes, rear subframe bar, the car now feel solid and no under or oversteer round corners, great for road use.Thinking of fitting a set of CUSCO engine mounts & engine damper, can't wait.
