Default Lowering springs

Hi all,

I'm looking to lower the car - as it's up in the air at the moment.......... I'm running 18's with 215/45/18 tyres. This increases the tyre diameter by about 2", so that has increased my ride height by about 25mm!

Any recomendations for a lowered spring kit for an Sti4 Type R, maybe lowered 35mm, as this would give me a genuine 10mm drop over the standard car, so not too low, but would tuck the wheels up under the arches nicely.

(The reason for running the tyres is to increase the gearing, - I'ts made something like an 8% increase, and every little helps )

Tires rub alot when cornering hard or accelerating with 2 adults in the back or 1 fat one in the middle

what's your rim with and offset? the tires don't rub now on the fenders? 45 I think it's too tall for a classic. shouldn't it be 35?

The rim's 7" wide - offset 50mm from memory, with original being 53mm, so that's about right. I wanted 45 profile tyres as mentioned before - to raise the gearing

I had eibach lowering springs put on my 97 sti and TBH it looked like it was on stilts with 17's, (on a wheel radius converter was about 1% difference in rolling radius from 205/50/16's) didn't acually take any measurements tho.

They were however more progressive/predictable when being pushed hard and along with a few simple other mods make a great fast road package

RRP is 176 sterling + VAT, as mentioned above tho, don't htink they are actually any lower than standard STI springs, well in my case on my v3 anyway.
