Default Who Rebuilds Shocks???

Need some advice guys, my rears shocks have started to leak slightly (2001 Classic std Suspension) so im thinking of just replacing the whole lot,

There are some shocks going in the classified section off a type RA, pink ones apparently, thing is they have 70K under their belt so i was considering getting them rebuilt for peace of mind,

Any idea who would do it and at what price or am i best just buying new???

Cheers people, any advice will be a big help

The nearest people to me who do such things are BG Motorsport in Silverstone. 01327 855200. They are very helpful and will at least give you an idea. Ben's your man.

I just found my rear shocks on my 98 WRX was knackered. £115 delivered saw a new pair of KYB standard replacements on my doorstep the next day. Lovely.

Cheers for the advice guys, i spoke to ben yesterday and found him very helpful, the sti shocks can not be rebuilt because they are a sealed unit which basically need throwing away once they are gone,

I will probably go for the KYB, for the price they seem great

Finally managed to get them on. Don't know whether it was the KYB dampers or the Eibach springs but the car feels like it's on rails now, direction changes at speed are instant, no wallowing in corners. A little bit of money and a lot of my time were definitely worth it fitting this stuff. I'll get the front KYBs next month to complete the set! The supplier was an online shop called 'Buy Stuff By' - who knows why they have such a silly name but the prices are superb. Just ring them up to make sure you get the right dampers. As I say, they have adjustable KYB at under £200 a pair delivered.

That sounds good to me, was it 115 all in, thats a well good price, its my rears that are on their way out so i will be following your lead mate, are they much harder?? obviously they cant be too hard for our roads, also what was your best price on the eibach springs and where from??

I gotta do the same mate cos i hear loads of good reports about the KYB's, did you get the rear adjustables or are they just standard replacement???
