okay - my 05STi has an annoying rattle from the front suspension, usually when cornering under power or when backing off on bumpy roads/over manholes/speed humps.

been to dealers a few times, had the new rack spring fitted - no cure.

can feel this through the steering as well, and passengers can hear it on occasion.

anyone else got this, or had it and now been cured?

Andy, I to own 05STI with annoying front off side noise. This is at low speed and whilst turning left. Prosport reckon it may be the spring moving due to the rubber sleeve at the end of the spring is splitting. They have ordered a new set and top rubber spring seat. What have you had replaced?

there is a spring within the steering rack which 'damps' the rack when it hits bumps etc (apparently).
this made sod all difference though!
