Default Shocks for classic STI

Can anyone confirm whether these struts are a suitable direct replacement for an STI version 3?

Just to butt in, I would also be interested whether they would be OK, but for a classic WRX MY99, although I believe front and rears should be replaced at the same time.

think the sti are uprated items, but theses should be fine as these are fitted to the wrx and english turbo as standard. But i would pay the extra and go for the KYB AGX try www.buypartsby.co.uk we had a group buy going last month and got them for £330, worth every penny of it aswell, give them a ring they might give you a deal if you mention the scoobynet groupbuy.

Couldn't see the ones you mentioned listed there, although the prices for the others are very cheap. Could you suggest which ones it is I need?

Can anyone supply a definitive answer as to whether the KYB shocks from Camskill are the correct ones for my Version 3 STI V-Limited? When I enquired at Subaru about the part they told me it was the same part as the UK turbo, and the struts etc on my car are black, so I have no reason to believe the suspension is anything fancy (IIRC it was the 99> STI models that had the pink struts signifying better suspension over wrx?).

Would like to clarify this and get them ordered so I can fit them with my other goodies

I think this is the page briforbes may have been pointing to:

Can not comment as to suitability though.

Thanks for the info - I've called up and ordered the AGX adjustables, which should be here on Monday.

So next week I'll be fitting:

Whiteline 22mm adjustable ARB, Solid rear droplinks, AGX adjustable shocks, stainless up-pipe, silicone induction hose, new tyres, and two rear hubs - busy (and expensive!) times!

Let me know what they are like?

I want to ensure the car will still be ok for "family" use whilst maintaining the road holding.

i have them fitted on mine mate and would recomend them, have mine set on 2 on the front and 5 on the back ride is firm and comfortable.these would be ideal for you you can have them on soft for family use then just adjust them for some fast road or track use.

Fulla's probably answered your question, but I'll let you know how I find them. I'd imagine that being adjustable you could set them to soft for family duties, then run them stiffer for more spirited driving?
